COURSE CONTENT:

Activities of CSIR-CIMAP

Aromatic and Medicinal Crops suitable for the southern part of the country.

Nursery raising techniques of important aromatic and medicinal plants.

Agrotechnology for commercially important aromatic crops.

Post-harvest techniques, distillation of aromatic plants, extraction of medicinal plants and herbal formulations.

Quality analysis of essential oils.

Interaction with the progressive farmers and traders.

Marketing aspects of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants







Proposed Structure and Activities:

The conference will span three days and include the following activities:

•Inaugural Session: The Convener will

provide an overview of the workshop's

objectives and themes.

•Plenary Session: Leading experts in each

theme will present their research findings

and insights.

•Panel Discussion: Interactive discussions

with experts, policymakers, and

practitioners to analyse challenges and

potential solutions.

•Technical Sessions: Concurrent sessions

under each sub-theme for in-depth

discussions and knowledge sharing by

•Workshops and Training: Hands-on

workshops and training sessions on

sustainable farming practices, healthcare

in rural areas, and education initiatives.

This Training Program would be useful for existing and new farmers, entrepreneurs, students & academicians, essential oil distillers, government agencies, and industries. A participation certificate will be issued in the valedictory function.
