WHY EXPORT-FOCUSED BUSINESS INCUBATION?
Unexploited export potential - For cassava/ Tapioca, India has SECOND highest productivity in the world (36.12 t/ ha), but its share in the world cassava tuber export is only 0.1%. For sweet potato, India stands EIGTH in terms of sweet potato production (11.84 lakh tonnes), and has only 0.1% share in the world sweet potato tuber export.
Demand for new products - Tuber crops products like frozen or dried tubers and chips, High Quality Cassava flour, pasta and noodles, bakery products, bioethanol, bioplastics along with other minimally processed products have huge market in Africa, Gulf countries, and South-East Asia. W

ENROLLMENT FEE No fee for participation in the IDEA Pitch. The candidates opting for incubation (either Bootcamp or technology development) will have to pay Rs 5900/- (Rs. 5000 + 18% GST). For incubatees opting for technology development, only bootcamp and business mentoring are free, and they are required to pay nominal fee for technology development/ refinement/validation as it involves research and utilizing ICAR-CTCRI labs and facilities.
