Malnutrition is a major concern worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 462 million people are underweight and about 45% of deaths among children under 5 years of age are related to malnutrition. To address this issue a flagship program called “POSHAN Abhiyaan” has been initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India that aims to improve nutrition amongst children and women. Being nutritionally rich and diverse pulses can play an important role in the eradication of hunger and malnutrition. We are organizing International Conference on Pulses Research (ICPR2022) to take part in the government's Phoshan Abiyaan. The conference will provide a platform to discuss recent advancements and to determine future directions in pulses research. The conference will also provide a platform for PhD scholars to present and discuss their research work.
