Title: International Conference on Feeding the Future through Sustainable Eco-friendly Innovations in Rangeland, Forages and Animal Sciences
About the Conference
Today, more than 800 million people across the world still go to bed hungry each night. Ending global hunger is one the greatest challenge of our time and agriculture is at the heart of the solution.
Growth in agriculture has been shown to be at least twice as effective at reducing poverty as growth
in other sectors. The possibility to expand aerable land to feed growing population is less. But the
issue of hunger can be addressed by application of science in rangelands and animal production.
Recognising the importance of rangelands, the United Nations has declared year 2026 as an
International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralism. Animal production in tropical countries today
is seen as saviour of soil and environment. The efficient ways of animal production is linked to
rangelands and forages. Number of emerging technologies in these domains needs to be integrated
and exploited to produce enough food for the population in a sustainable mode. In this backdrop,
captioned international conference is being organized .
