The Department of Agricultural Education and Communication (AEC) at the University of Florida (UF) is pleased to offer several Ph.D. or master’s level assistantships available for qualified candidates with interests in Agricultural Education, Agricultural and Natural Resource Communication, Agricultural Leadership Education, and Extension Education.
These AEC Ph.D. or master’s assistantships will have .50 FTE, 12-month, graduate stipend, tuition waiver, and graduate assistantship benefits (https://benefits.hr.ufl.edu/my-benefits/explore/eligibility/ga/). Graduate assistantship responsibilities may include teaching undergraduate courses, research in agricultural and natural resource contexts related to the specializations, and extension programming with target audiences in AEC. Additionally, these assistantships can be tailored to meet the academic and professional goals of the graduate student. The AEC graduate program at the University of Florida offers degrees of Mater of Science and Doctor of Philosophy. While obtaining a degree in Agricultural Education and Communication, students may specialize in Agricultural Education, Agricultural and Natural Resource Communication, Agricultural Leadership Education, or Extension Education. These specializations can include robust coursework from AEC, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the College of Journalism and Communications, the College of Education, among others of interest to the student.
